VaultSage for Slack Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NURIE AI, Inc. and its affiliates (“NURIE AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, and share information when you use VaultSage for Slack (the “App”). This page is the privacy policy for the Slack app. VaultSage platform terms are published separately at nurie.ai/en/terms.
1. Who we are
VaultSage for Slack is operated by NURIE AI, Inc. The App connects your Slack workspace to your VaultSage account so you can save files, create share links, and ask questions about your documents without leaving Slack.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the App.
From Slack
- Slack user ID and workspace (team) ID
- Profile information needed to identify you in the App (for example, display name)
- Message and file content you choose to save, share, or ask about, including file names, types, and bytes
- Text you send to the App (slash commands, mentions, direct messages, and chat prompts)
- Recipient email addresses you enter when creating a VaultSage share link
- App usage events needed to respond to your actions (for example, which message or file you selected)
From your VaultSage account
- OAuth tokens, session cookies, and related authentication data so the App can act on your behalf
- File identifiers and metadata returned after you save or list files
- Chat session identifiers and the file IDs you select as context
Preferences and technical data
- Language and notification preferences you set in the App
- Server logs such as timestamps, request paths, and error diagnostics used to operate and secure the App
We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers or payment card numbers) through the App. Please do not include that information in chat prompts unless you intend for it to be processed and stored.
3. How we use information
- Provide App features: install, connect your account, save files, create share links, and answer questions about your files
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in to VaultSage
- Send your prompts and relevant file context to VaultSage so an AI model can generate a response
- Remember your preferences and chat context
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and keep the App reliable
- Comply with law and enforce our terms
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the App:
- Slack — to receive events, post messages, and download files you asked us to save
- VaultSage / NURIE AI — to store files in your VaultSage account, create share links, and generate AI responses
- Google — if you sign in to VaultSage with Google, and for hosting and storage (Cloud Run and Firestore)
- AI / LLM providers used by VaultSage — your prompts and relevant file context may be sent to language models that power answers. Account information is anonymized before being shared with third-party LLM providers
- Service providers who help us host and operate the App, under confidentiality obligations
- Legal authorities if required by law, or to protect users, NURIE AI, or others
Other VaultSage users only see content you explicitly share, for example via a share link you create.
5. AI processing
The App uses a large language model to answer questions about your files. Prompts you send and the file context you select are processed to generate a response. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not include sensitive personal information in prompts unless you intend for it to be processed.
6. Storage and security
- In production, connection data (such as VaultSage tokens keyed by Slack user ID) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore
- Files you save are stored in your VaultSage account, not in a shared third-party drive
- Traffic is transmitted over HTTPS
- We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure
7. Retention
- VaultSage connection tokens and App preferences are kept while your account remains connected
- When you disconnect from the Home tab or with
/vaultsage-logout, we clear VaultSage authentication data for your Slack user - When the App is uninstalled from a workspace, we stop receiving new events from that workspace
- Files already saved to VaultSage remain in your VaultSage account until you delete them there
- You can email us to request deletion of App-stored data associated with your Slack user ID
8. Your choices and rights
- Review Slack permissions during install and uninstall the App at any time
- Connect or disconnect your VaultSage account from the App Home tab
- Choose which files to save, share, or use as chat context
- Email support@nurie.ai to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law
9. Children
The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
